DiPietro Slams Hochul & James for Undermining Federal Immigration Enforcement

U.S. Attorney General announces immigration lawsuit against New York leaders

 Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C-East Aurora) is calling out Gov. Kathy Hochul and Attorney General Letitia James for their reckless Green Light Law, which directly obstructs federal immigration enforcement and prioritizes illegal immigrants over law-abiding citizens. It was announced yesterday that the Justice Department is suing the state of New York and Gov. Kathy Hochul for undermining federal law.

“Gov. Hochul and Attorney General James are actively undermining federal immigration enforcement to protect illegal immigrants at the expense of law-abiding New Yorkers. Pam Bondi and the DOJ are right, Democrats are prioritizing those who break our laws over our own citizens. We have homeless veterans, struggling families and hardworking people barely getting by, yet Albany Democrats refuse to put New Yorkers first. This doesn’t pass the smell test or the common-sense test. It’s a deliberate attempt to weaken our nation. The Democrat party has gone out of its way to purposely try to destroy this country. The people of New York deserve common sense, not radical, anti-American policies,” said DiPietro.

Assemblyman David DiPietro represents the 147th Assembly District, which includes parts of Erie and Wyoming counties.
