Suing the State
"The Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms, Shall Not Be Infringed."
I'm Going After the State!
"A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined; to which end a uniform and well-digested plan is requisite; and their safety and interest require that they should promote such manufactories as tend to render them independent of others for essential, particularly military, supplies." ~ George Washington
As New York State rolled out its new gun regulations in September 2023, I (along with Senator George Borello, William Ortman, and the New York State Firearms Association) brought a lawsuit against these unconstitutional demands! Enough is enough. We are tired of socialism. So we are fighting back!
The powers that be love to think that citizens won't stand up for what they believe in. They extort and bribe and manipulate politicians into silence and cooperation. That ends here. It stops now. No amount of threats will keep me back from speaking for and supporting constitutional freedom!
From the very beginning, I have opposed all manner of restrictions on the Second Amendment, one of the core constitutional doctrines. The State wants you weak and defenseless. It wants you dependent on them. And unlike them, I don't. The SAFE Act, Concealed Carry Improvement Act, and budgets that included funding for the Acts and infrastructure to carry them out, all of which make your rights essentially, null and void, I have voted against.
Noah Webster gives an excellent argument for the possession of arms. In "An Examination of the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution" (1787) he states,
“Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretence, raised in the United States."
Any wise peruser of world history will understand that this is true. When lawful rights to defend one's self and neighbor are trampled on and disregarded, then the most natural course from such a humiliation is abject tyranny. Therefore, we protest and fight! I fight!
